REGISTRATION for workshops! All workshops happen at the Charles River Collaboratory. Workshops are best for individuals from 10 to 110 years old.

Glass Laser Engraving

In this workshop lead by Charles River Collaboratory Youth leaders you will learn how to use CO2 lasers to engrave text and images onto glass. You will learn the correct power and speed limit to create a perfect image glass. Seat Limit 15. No prior experience needed This workshop is best suited for ages middle school and up.

Wood Laser Engraving

In this workshop also lead by Charles Collaboratory Youth leaders you will learn how to use CO2 lasers to engrave and laser cut on 3mm wood. You will learn not only how to design for laser cutting but also learn about the correct speed and power settings to create a good image on wood. Seat Limit: 15. no prior experience needed. This workshop is best suited for ages middle school and up.

Epoxy/Resin

In this workshop you will learn how to mix epoxy/resin with the intent of making decorations, objects that light up. This workshop is best suited for middle school and up. Seat Limit 20. No prior Experience needed.

3D Printing

In this workshop you will learn the basics of 3D printing. You will learn how to download an object from one of many websites, how to insert that object into slicing software and how to use a 3D printer. Seat Limit 15. No prior experience.

Automated Farming Robotics

This is a presentation by youth teams from Louisiana and Massaschusetts who have built (or working on) automated farming robots. In this sessions you will learn about the farming robot, how they work, how they were built, and what the youth did to get them operational. Seat Limit 20.
